BlackTree is an independent technical publication covering security, infrastructure, automation and artificial intelligence. This policy explains how articles are selected, researched, written and maintained.
Editorial purpose
BlackTree aims to make complex technical developments understandable and useful. Articles focus on what happened, why it matters, who may be affected and what readers can practically do next.
Research and sources
- Primary and official sources are preferred wherever they are available, including legislation, standards, vendor documentation, advisories, research papers and statements from the organisations involved.
- Important factual claims are checked against more than one credible source when the subject or available evidence calls for it.
- Source links are included so readers can inspect the underlying material themselves.
- Uncertainty, incomplete evidence and reasonable inference are identified rather than presented as established fact.
Analysis, opinion and independence
BlackTree may combine factual reporting with technical analysis and informed opinion. Where a conclusion is interpretive, the article should make that clear and explain the evidence behind it.
Editorial decisions are made independently. Paid placement is not presented as editorial coverage. Any sponsorship, affiliate relationship, supplied product or other material interest relevant to an article will be disclosed clearly.
Use of tools and artificial intelligence
Software and artificial-intelligence tools may assist with research organisation, drafting, editing or image production. Editorial responsibility remains with BlackTree. Articles are reviewed for factual accuracy, clarity, sourcing and relevance before publication.
Updates and corrections
Articles may be updated when new facts, official guidance or technical details become available. Material errors are handled under the Corrections Policy.
