KillSec Servers Seized, Victim Risk Remains
Eurojust and the US Justice Department reported on 1 October, without publication times, that Operation KillSwitch acted against KillSec on 30 September. Authorities are examining about 1,000 suspected attacks; about 500 are identified as successful.
What victims can conclude
Three provisional arrests were made and at least 110 TB was secured. DOJ says Fouad Eltibrizi, or Archduke, is indicted and awaiting extradition. These are allegations, not a conviction.
Seizure does not prove every stolen copy was recovered, every access path closed or every victim notified. Use national reporting channels. IC3 is general FBI reporting, not an operation-specific notification route.
