Separate the App and Platform Support Decisions
Updated 21 October 2026: The official support table sets the hosted-suite deadline at 13 October. That date has passed. On Windows Server 2022, the hosting guidance limits full configuration support for the Microsoft 365 Apps suite to the host’s mainstream phase. Feature upgrades stop with release 2608; security-only servicing continues until 10 October 2028 while customers migrate.
OS update notice says the platform has entered extended support, with security fixes each month through 14 October 2031. This does not extend the hosted software’s full support. Inventory affected hosts and plan a supported destination; track these two decisions separately.
The lifecycle table, rendered in its stated Pacific timezone, gives the same mainstream endpoint, not the following day stated earlier here. Its later endpoint agrees with the OS update notice. These are dates, not a verified cut-off hour. The original publication date is unchanged.
